About MG School for Excellence
MG School for Excellence was established in 1998 ,by Shri M Gopalakrishnan , Founder, Managing Trustee and Secretary of the school.Though initially envisioned, exclusively- to help the first generation learners, today it caters to children from every strata of society. ‘Freedom through Education’ is not only the motto but also the firm belief of this school.
The school is affiliated to the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations – New Delhi and has classes from Pre-Nursery to XII.
Two decades have seen the school move from infancy to innovation, from research and learning to Application and progress. Under the able leadership of the Principal , Mrs. Jean George , the school Chief Academic Advisor – Sri G . Chacko , the Founder Principal and Trustee , Sri P.M Geetha and the Administrator, Mrs. VidyavathiArun, the school has grown in leaps and bounds. The eleventh batch of class X students are preparing to take the Board Examinations in 2019 and we are proud to say that our students have carved a niche for themselves in various fields.
We motivate our children to move beyond mediocrity and excel on the path to attainment, to take up newer challenges, pursue new interests and develop new hobbies. Inculcating good character, developing lifelong skills, inculcating empathy and sympathy, besides making them brave, honest and confident citizens, is the aim of this institution.Every child is unique and within each one lies great potential. It has always been our endeavor to draw out the best.
Equal importance is given to academics, sports, music and co-curricular activities and the curriculum has been planned to include a smorgasbord of activities which helpour studentsto learn, explore, play and discover their inherent proclivities through Dance & Music, Karate, Hobby Clubs, Class Presentations and other Class room activities, Smart board based classes and various inter house competitions. Annual Exhibitions, Cultural day, Sports day, Inter school competitions, celebrations of various festivals and other important days help foster a scientific, patriotic and cultural fervor among the students. The ‘After school activities’ like Abacus, Aeromodelling, Theatre and Skating help the child attain holistic development. A spectrum of monthly Inter House and Bulletin Board competitions and theme based morning assemblies propel the children towards ‘ out of the box’ learning.
Being Philanthropic is a way of life and the same is instilled in the students to make them better citizens of tomorrow. They are encouraged to take up community work in the form of service to the needy, keeping the environment clean, visiting and helping the underprivileged lot.
Moulding them into leaders of tomorrow is taken very seriously. The student councilhelps organize various events apart from playing a major role in maintaining the discipline of the school. The Parent Teacher Association is our asset and supports us in various spheres.Relationships are given its due importance and any parent related issues are attended to immediately.
Discipline is at the hub of excellence at MGSE. Children are taught the significance of discipline to be synonymous with character building. This is ingrained in the children right from the time they step into this campus for the very first time.
Educators are the harbingers of positive change and progress in society. Children are the wealth of this nation. Realizing the truth behind both these maxims, MGSE nurtures an environment of positivity, encourages confidence and treats every individual with respect. MGSE is a family beyond one’s home. The concerted efforts of the staff, parents and children have helped the school reach its 21st year .All the stakeholders of the school understand the significance of the mantra ’ Boldly we march forward, confidently we will take on the future and with humility, we will embrace greatness’.
